Our journey began in 1929 when Morris Abrams founded Arrow Fastener in Brooklyn, New York. Legend has it that the company's origins trace back to Abrams selling staples out of the trunk of his car while on his honeymoon road trip to Niagara Falls—an early sign of the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication that would define Arrow for decades to come.

Arrow Tool Group is a company with a legacy of innovation and leadership, proudly rooted in nearly a century of expertise in fastening and hand tool solutions. Our products are distributed worldwide, serving professionals and DIYers across the globe. Initially focused on selling staples, Abrams quickly turned his attention to innovation, securing his first stapler patent by 1940 and transitioning into manufacturing his own tools. In 1943, he began assigning patents to Arrow Fastener, laying the groundwork for a company known for engineering excellence and breakthrough design. Over the decades, Arrow has amassed dozens of patents across its product categories and continues to drive advancements in fastening technology.
The company’s flagship innovation—the T50® staple gun—remains the gold standard in the category. Introduced in the early 1950s, the T50 is the best-selling heavy-duty staple gun in history, with over 40 million units sold. Trusted by generations of professionals, it has become synonymous with jobsite reliability and power.
In the 1960s, Allan Abrams continued his father's vision by expanding the product line to include glue guns, rivet tools, and brad nailers. This era solidified Arrow's place as a leader in tool development. Morris Abrams' legacy endures through each innovation, empowering professionals and DIYers alike.
Arrow Fastener was acquired by Masco Corporation in 1999 and joined Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial Co., Ltd. in 2017. As the U.S. headquarters of GreatStar Tools USA, we now support a diverse brand portfolio including Pony Jorgensen®, Goldblatt®, and SK Professional Tools®.
As we continue to shape the future, we are excited to announce an important milestone: Arrow Fastener Company will now be doing business as Arrow Tool Group, effective May 2025. Arrow Tool Group will also begin distributing SK Professional Tools®, Pony Jorgensen®, and Goldblatt® to the hardware channel, further expanding our reach and commitment to serving the industry. This name change reflects our evolution into a comprehensive solutions provider, delivering industry-leading tools across our growing brand family.
